The most active Social Searcher users have already mentioned several new features in public Beta testing and now we are glad to officially announce new functionality, which was requested by the loyal users and we are here to deliver: search users profiles by their name and explore trending posts about specific topics.
Main search input on the home page of the Social Searcher is enriched with 3 new tabs: “Mentions”, “Users” and “Trends”, that are responsible for the recent mentions search by keywords, users social profiles search by name or surname and trending posts search by keywords. Let’s have a closer look on the last 2 new features.
Search Users Social Profiles for Free
“Users” tab allows you to quickly find relative social profiles by name or surname.
Social accounts can be searched for Free in the following 6 networks: Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google+, Vimeo and Dailymotion. Basic functionality of exporting found data and filtering by the network is provided as well.
Results are sorted by the relevance together with the network importance, each found user has a profile link and a name. Additional data depending on the input source might contain: description, icon, influence metric and links to other profiles.

Social Trends Search for Free
“Trends” tab provides functionality for searching the most popular social posts, which were recently published about specific topic.
Top photos, videos and statuses search is available for the following 7 social media sources: Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Reddit, Vimeo, Dailymotion and Flickr. Results can be exported as CSV file and filtered by the source.
Influence metrics are used for the posts prioritisation, however, there are some edge cases to be considered: Youtube results are missing any influence metrics, some metrics are hard to compare, for example, “Views” vs “Retweets” vs “Likes”. Anyway Social Searcher trends exploration tool proves to be one of the easiest ways to track popular topics among different social platforms.
