It’s been about six months since Facebook presented Timeline for pages. Now the social network introduces next innovation: starting from this week, each Timeline Page will get an email address.
For example, if the address of your Timeline is facebook.com/socialsearcher, you will automatically become the owner of the mailbox socialsearcher@facebook.com.
It seems that this step was taken by Facebook as an attempt to “catch up” Google +, in which profiles and Gmail accounts are connected since the beginning. It should be also reminded that the social network Facebook launched its email service in 2010, however, it will be used actively only starting from this week.
This is a good idea to have all Facebook features in your e-mail. The popularity of Facebook should grow up after the introduction of email accounts. In addition, according to a recent survey by Ipsos, 85% of people use email services for communication, while only 62% create emails just because it is necessary for registration in the social network.
