Google’s Social Search vs. Facebook

Google announced integrating social media in to latest search engine. They managed to do so without mentioning Facebook in an entire blog post.

Google claimed that its Google Social Search results are comprehensive. Twitter, Flickr and YouTube were mentioned in the announcement, but the words “and other sites” appeared to be a way avoid referring to possibility to do Facebook Search for posts as well.

There is an irony in Google’s assertion that it has “given you more control over how you connect accounts, and made connecting accounts more convenient.”
