Mark Zuckerberg married to the longtime girlfriend on the next day after the Facebook IPO. For the guests the wedding was a surprise – they thought that they were invited because of another occasion.
CEO and founder of the largest social network in the world, Mark Zuckerberg, married to his girlfriend Priscilla Chan. The wedding ceremony took place on Saturday, May 19, in the house of Zuckerberg.
Zuckerberg and Chan know each other for 9 years. They met at Harvard University,where in 2004 Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook.
Chan graduated from medical school at the University of California at San Francisco last Monday, May 14. Priscilla Chan is 27 years old, Zuckerberg – 28.
The wedding was attended by less than one hundred people, including the chief operating officer of Facebook Sheryl Sandberg. Guests didn’t know about the marriage, they were told about it only at the celebration. They thought it was dedicated to the graduation of Priscilla Chan. They were very surprised.
Mark and Priscilla decided to wait until Chan graduated from medical school and wedding date had nothing to do with the Facebook IPO, said one of the guests.
